What is UX?
User Experience aims to create end-user's interactions with a product or service that are useful, usable, simple, universal, valuable, beautiful, desirable, trustworthy, credible, and accessible.
In order to achieve that, user experience uses elements from different areas such as:
- Interaction Design (IxD)
- Information Architecture (IA)
- Usability
- Accessibility
- Human computer interaction
- Human factors engineering
- User Interface Design
- Information Visualisation
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
It unites many of the principles of these fields to improve the total user experience.

My first contact with the fascinating world of User Experience was back in 2003 when I participated in a 3-month course about “Interaction, Information, Interface Design” - [ID]3. That course lead me to get more interested about the subject and started to read some related books and articles. A year later I decided to do a distant learning Master's course at Middlesex University of London. In Jan 2006 i got my MSc in Human Computer Interaction. At the same time during 2005 I become a certified usability analyst (CUA) by Human Factors International after attending four seminars related to usability and giving my exams.Since 2003 I have never stopped to be interested in the subject of User-Centered Design and User Experience and i am constantly trying to be up-to-date by reading books and articles, participating in seminars, courses, workshops and conferences around the world. I am trying to keep updated on all the latest researches around the field of User Experience and I am an active member of the Usability Association Professionals (UPA) and the Interaction Design Association (IxDA).
The last years I had the chance to participate in many interesting projects and took part in many key activities such us:
